Banned from Lawshaw Barbers Blog?
Apparently I have been denied access to the Lashawn Barbers popular black conservative weblog, after posting a couple of comments. I think it was the quickest that I have ever been banned from a site. What gives? Maybe it is like a fear of spiders and snakes. Many people fear them because of their poisonous bites, which release neurological toxins. Usually, what people fear they try to avoid…or destroy? People do not fear snakes and spiders because of they are erroneous.
I can guarantee that nothing Lashawn could say would get her restricted from this site. People with her mind set would attempt to label the thinking on this forum anti-American, communist, Marxist or other labels that imply some sort of failed draconian ideology. Yet, this web log embodies, in practice, more of the “American” virtues, than does Mrs. Barber. The test of true character only manifest under stress. In light of this, when weak conservatives are challenged, the first thing they want to do is restrict the freedom of those who are perceived as a threat.
Let me state that it is perfectly in the rights of Mr. Barber to restrict whomever she pleases from her private domain. However, in doing so, she shows a lot about her character or her lack there of. Certainly, if what I have to say is not tenable, than the intellectual of her type of ideology would simply tear it apart, making a fool of me in the process. This would do more to further the cause of black conservatism than anything else, I would think. For an objective person in search of the dominant truth, they will always gravitate towards the side that can best defend its position, while debunking their opponents.
The act of restricting certain intellectual thought from blogs is simply an admission of fear. Only children fear what is not real. Adults generally do not fear the “boogie man” or something that has no truth in reality. Adults who place self interest higher than the interest of truth often fear truth when truth is damaging to their higher interest.

I am not certain that she banned me...my navigation simply fails with a message that I do not have access to the server. If I am not actually banned, then my apologies to her. However, I have been banned from enough conservative forums for this essay to still be applicable.

Well, I have no problem connecting; so she must have banned you Noah. It is not suprising Noah, we all have been banned from the Negro-Cons and their white counterparts site. I remember just registering over on that redding site got me banned. These fools can not face the truth that their logic is flawed and out of tune with Black men and women in America. Lashawn is definetly one who can not debate the issues with any one who knows the issues. She undoubtly suffer from a slave mentality that seeks to find favor with and win love from white folk.
No…as a person who has been banned yourself, Nmaginate, I think that you that it does not take any sort of civil violations that you mentioned. However, everyone has their own subjective working definitions of “civil”. In truth, I did not even present any of my better stuff. What I think happened is that likely she knows me, from other forums, while I do not know her. Thus, once she seen that I was participating in her blog, she figured that she would simply nip it in the Bud and not let her patrons, hear what I had to say.
If one of you good brothers would be so kind....go to her site and check out the piece about Pat Buchanan's "Death of the West". There were about 54 comments on that peice and mine were like 51 and 53. I figure that If I was banned, than she likely deleted my comments as well.
What happened was that my introductory comment was concerning the time that people were wasting with politics and political affiliation, when economics was the most critical issue for humanity. I then went on to mention how neither of the two parties, of our two party systems, addresses the economic flaws of capitalism, which is eroding the social fabric of the nation and which will eventually drive business away from America, due to business under capitalism seeking the path of least resistance…which is cheap labor cost. I did not get the chance to present all of that, but that is what I was insinuating.
Then I was challenged to present proof. Of course…the absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, as you brothers know. I essentially challenged what their definition of what they knew to differentiate from what they believed. I told them that what they believe is far greater that what they know, via being a direct witness to a phenomenon. Thus, if they were not witness to the truth, how could they be confident that I was not presenting it? One has to know the truth first, to be 100% sure what is not the truth. Its like if someone gave various descriptions of what I look like…one would first need to have bared witness to may appearance, to know whose description of me is valid. Without that knowledge, one would have to make a choice of who to trust and that decision would be a subjective one.

that is not true, capitalism seeks to do what is most profitable. For example many American steel companies are more profitable and have MUCH higher labor cost. But thanks to automation and business practices they make serious money.
BTW do you know why Ford paid his workers $5 day around the turn of the century when the going rate was $2 a day. And still make money and control the market.
When you understand that results you will understand why you are wrong, about capitalism.
BTW: are you banned from reading or just posting. I don't see what technology could know who you are unless you always use the same connection to the internet.
I guess it could cookie you but that seems trivial to work around.
Scott, Don’t assume a working definition of my terminology or phraseology, which allows you to contradict my assertion. In fact, my working definition of path of least resistance…is the least resistance to PROFIT. The least resistance to profit and comes from cheaper labor cost and environmental restrictions, all other things being nearly equal. Thus, this has lead manufactures to leave the US and now it is leading to the outsourcing of technical jobs as well. Let us not forget Artificial intelligence and robotics, which has replaced many laborers, while creating highly skilled jobs, which do not match one-to-one to jobs lost.
Yes, I know that Henry Ford was a visionary, which separated him from most others. He thus paid his people $5 a day so that they would be able to afford the products they produced. However, that is one of the biggest ticket items driven by individual consumer consumption. There are tens of thousands of other goods and services, which can be produced in other nations, with cheaper labor cost, and those laborers, will still be able to afford them. You have to remember that they same way it worked in the USA, it can work in other nations as well. In the interim, while companies move job oversees, they can then increase their profits by selling the products back in the USA to people who are employed in different industries than the ones being outsourced. This also helps to reduce inflation in the nation.
It is not an issue of trying to get around being banned. I am not salavating to post comments on her Blog and have NO interest in trying to circumvent her efforts. Personally, I am satified with being denied. It proves to me that people like her are hypocrites and it serves to discredit them. I take being banned as a badge of honer...even though it is never my goal. Its just like with white folks...if the masses of white folks love you, then you are likely doing no good for your people...if the masses of them dislike you...then you are likely doing something good for your people. I think that same of black Negro-cons...them banning me simply means that I am saying something that is good for the black masses.
To her credit, Lashawn did send me an e-mail stating why she banned me. She said it was not rooted in political persecution, but rather, the fact that I had allegedly place a porn link in the URL edit box, when I posted a comment. Now, certainly, I would be a fallacy to say that past behavior guarantees present or future behavior, but I am sure that this is the first time that any of you have heard something like that about me and such an act would certainly not be in my character. I am extremely confident in simply using words to fight my battles…besides…such an act would simply discredit me far more than it would discredit the ideology that I was challenging. Thus, even if I wanted to do something that childish…it’s contradictory to my goals, thus making such and act foolish.
Lashawn says that she is the only administrator of her Blog, thus, she said no one else could have placed it there except me. However, people hack into sites all the time, not saying that’s what happened, but giving her the benefit of the doubt that she is not lying and knowing for a FACT that I am not crazy, that is the only other possibility.
I know that my T1 connection to the web mapped to a constant IP address and thus giving her the ability to block my access from work. However, I also knew that most internet providing services, like AOL, assigns different IP addresses each time you connect. Thus, I figured I could view her Blog from home…which I could. She had deleted two of my comments and left the first. She thought that I was shifting IP addresses because my first comment was from work and my next from home. I guess she has become so enamored with the conservative ideology that she could not fathom that a brother actually had a JOB. Had she simply looked at the time that the comments were posted, maybe she could have figured that out, notwithstanding time zone discrepancies.
Well I guess we both suffer the same Noah. Lashawn is not interested in discourse, she want those who visit her site to come as cheerleaders and not as people who have an intellectual disagreement with her. She removed my Commnents claiming they were insulting, I guess she is right. They were a bit insulting to those Negro-Cons that follow an agenda that is hostile to Black men and women. I destroyed her faulty logic about Class war fare and demonstrated how republicans do the same, I destroyed her faulty logic about provoking racial hostility by pointing out the racial hostility sponsored by the party she is the lap dog for. She is indeed a lost soul, who is blinded by her own fundementalism and love for everything but herself and kind.
She and I have exchanges several e-mails this morning. She concluded with the statement that she was hoping for a descent conversation with men, but she was disappointed… In her opinion. She went on some tirade about the disrespect for women and how she has no tolerance for it. I guess she was still feeding the lie about me posting a porn link to her site. Then I explained to her the love I have for my daughter, mother, wife and sister and treat other women with the same respect I would want given these females in my life. I guess she then interpreted that as being indecent.
She is a PHONY void of character. This explains why she is so easily used by the Republicans….she does not stand for something and thus easily falls for the anything of the conservatives just for promotion and attention.
The paltry excuse she uses about banning porno is probably bull. She could have simply told you to be aware of this problem and to try not to do this again. She probably just has issues with your beliefs
