BLACK INTROSPECTION IS A DISTINCTION WITH A DIFFERENCE.

Black thought and Introspection is rather unique, at least when juxtaposed against black Conservative, coined “Negro-Cons”, Web logs (blogs). We are unique from the standpoint that we are apolitical in our positions and that we do not align ourselves with political parties and hence preach a party platform. However, we do recognize that the two major parties have different effect upon black people, thus triggering our condemnation or praise.

Another striking difference is that most of our thoughts and essays are born from our own dissemination of raw facts and data, with links only to back them up. I often visit blogs of the “The conservative brotherhood”, the most popular of that grouping being the Laswan Barbers Blog. What you will find on these blogs is simply the linking to the thought of other conservatives’ voices, with a little thinking and commentary, of their own creation, to back it up.

The effort that goes into the creation of their blog content comes not from thinking and doing research, but rather, from googling the web for certain types of prefabricated opinions and news. Hence, they are not creators of opinions and beliefs, rather, they simply regurgitate what they consume from others (mostly white conservatives). If you trace their rhetoric to its ultimate source, it is rooted in the white conservative platform.

They will argue that the concept of conservatism is not a white/black phenomenon. That may be true, in a vacuous context; however, I am not aware of any conservative plan or position, which was originated by a black person. What you essentially have is that white conservatives are sitting up high in the pulpit preaching conservative scripture ,while the black conservatives simply sit in the pew, down below, shouting “Amen preacher”. Then these black folks get filled with the conservative Holy Ghost and sprite and then try to go out and preach to convert the black masses away from the sins of liberalism. In this conservative religion, blacks do not interpret scripture and hence lay out a blue print, it only seems white conservatives do this and blacks simply follow suit.

Not surprisingly, you will find a large percentage of their visiting and supporting readers are white conservatives. The white conservatives patronize and support these blogs because it helps them psychologically deal with the question of their own racism. To hear certain types of attacks, such as the attack and claim of irresponsibility, aimed at blacks by other blacks, helps whites who think this not feel racist about doing so. It must be noted and understood that being seen as a racist is now a scarlet letter among whites, thus, black conservatives removes those tension and doubts about their inner motivations.

In light of this, these conservative points of view get promoted via white acceptance. White demand in the free market capitalistic system will always promote a greater promotion and reward than black demand. The reason being is that there are far more whites and the typical white has much more income and wealth than the average black. Thus, on some of these blogs, the volume of traffic creates advertisement opportunities and hence income. This promotion and reward then gets tied to ones economic status, making it a conflict of interest have an epiphany in regards to ideology. You don’t bit the hand that feeds you, if you will.

Another thing to note about blogs that have a large white conservative base, whether black or not, the deleting of critical commentary is pervasive. The reason being is that white conservatives generally like isolation. They like to have “their own” place were they can simply talk among themselves, unchallenged. This is because they feel that there are too many liberal outlets and their voices are drowned out, thus they need a forum of their own. If a conservative blogger, whether white or black, allows to many dissenting voices to be heard, it will chase off the conservatives who just want a place of their own, thus threatening the viability or business of the blog. Lashawn Barber is notorious for deleting dissenting voices…usually predicated upon some fallacious reasoning.

Here on the Black Introspection Blog, we welcome and seek a good intellectual logical challenge to what we expose or promote. All we ask is that you not do it anonymously. We believe that the only way that we can be confident in our position is to have them placed under logical scrutiny by dissenters. However, do not confuse logical scrutiny with emotional scrutiny. Saying one simply disagrees or attacking the messenger is not logical scrutiny. When a person knows what truth is, then they can say with confidence that which is false. To say that something is false, but then fail to present the truth, means that you cannot prove that it is false.

If you seek true BLACK INTROSPECTION and thinking, from a few brothers, this is the place. However, if you simply want to know what white conservatives think and believe, parroted through the mouths of blacks, then please visit the Black conservative brotherhood.

You make a lot of valid points in your criticism. I do think you guys do have a prespective that is less diluted by white thinking. I know I have been pushed to the conservative side of the spectrum because white liberals and their Sambos had just pissed me off beyond belief.

You have seen the need for a black conservative space, as apposed to a conservate black space which most brotherhood members are.

On of the reason I spend time over here is that I think al lot of our actual views are similar but we are losing different language. For example I am sure most CB members would agree with 95% of the conclusion of Africa Towns creater Dr. Claud Anderson's http://www.powernomics.com/ . But the 5% is very problematic.

Also the CB exist in the real ecosystem of trying to figure out what to do today in America. And yes that means selling out to either the Dems or the Republicans.

You guys have a hope of breaking the chain totally. Which is a longer term POV.

I also think many peoples focus on the election has skewed the view of their writings. I suspect things will get better after the election.

Anyway keep on writing I will keep on reading.

I must say, I have searched high and low, from one blog sphere to the next for Blogs like "Black Introspection" and I have come up empty handed. I have with the help of my sista Shawna registered "Black Introspection" on various Blog rings in hope that one like this would be found. I must say I have come away disappointed each time. I have found plenty of Black folk with Blogs but not many of them are saying anything, I must say, there are tons of Negro-Con Blogs out there, while Blogs with opposing opinion (not necessarily like the opinion expressed here on "Black Introspection") can not be found.

I have searched for Blogs with hopes of joining together with them to form an alliance of sorts to conbat the lies and still I have returned empty handed. I would like to believe that there are Blogs like "Black Introspection" out there and if any of you know one please speak up.

This medium has risen to be one of importance that extends beyound the messageboard/forum medium and it makes no sense to me that so little of us are using this medium, even those of you reading this and agree with what "Black Introspecton" represent can start a Blog.

Brother Noah is correct in pointing out that Conservative Blogs and messageboards for the most part do not want opinions different from theirs being expressed we both have witnessed this by being banned from Blogs and messageboard for no other reason that opposing the lies being written on those boards and blogs. I am sure Noah and Nmaginate smile as do I when thinking back on those Protest Warriors infiltrating AfricanAmerica.org only to be beating back intellectually and then we took the fight to them on their forum only to be banned. :)

I hope more Blogs like Black Introspection are created, because there is plenty of room and all wars are being fought on two fronts now, Boots on the battlefield and with information. Right now, we are a bit behind in the information war.

America is not a land mass, supposedly, but a people living by certain principles and ideology manifesting from our constitution and declaration of independence. Thus, to be an American and patriot, as many of those on the far right claim to be, they would have to be the embodiment of those documents and principles. However, they are the first people who seek to have dissenting opinion banned from their blogs or forums. They use the cover of proprietary rights to defend against the fact that they are violating free speech. If one was truly an American and patriot, they would practice those principles and not use proprietary rights as a defense to trying to stop free speech. I was not amazed by this hypocrisy, because hypocrisy has always been a characteristic of our democracy (see Chris Rock),

Faheem I think the top of the non-conservative black bloggers is Promethesus6

http://www.prometheus6.org/

here are some other I link to.

http://xxblog.com/
http://s-train.kaphmedia.net/

Also don't forget you have conventional black media which is very left

http://www.amsterdamnews.com/News/Network.asp?sID=75

Anyway all of these links and few other are on my blog.

But yes black introspection is unique. 6+ month ago when I started blacks for bush I couldn't find many identified black bloggers at all.

I also know cobb (
http://www.mdcbowen.org/cobb/
) was throwing around the idea of a black blog space for all opinions and views, but he has had a lot of work to do lately so I hasn't gotten off the ground yet but I hopeful that it will in happen in the future. I was envisioning it as a black
http://www.kuro5hin.org/.

I also suspect your existance will spawn a group of immitators and similar blogs.

BTW: you guy are alway mentioning some BBS you guys use to post at TMN something like that, does it still exist.

Noah - if this web site had icons I would have filled this post with laughs.

You are not only an ideologically partisan person you by default are a proxy for the Democrats, suffering the same conundrum that many a Black political type faces. So often during this election cycle you will hear Blacks say "the Democrats take us for granted and the Republicans ignore us". Yet you see 90%+ of Blacks lining up rather than working to form their own political and economic force AT THE LOCAL LEVEL.

I respect SOME of the voices of Black conservatism that you so routinely run down. (Quick please list the Black Left Wing Progressives that you can think to criticism - Eric Michael Dyson?, Cornell West?, what about Russell Simmons or Puffy (clearly a capitalists)

I respect these other voices because they allow their intellectual honesty to prevent them from prioritizing FAKE UNITY over the clear dysfunction which they see in the popular Black political ideology of today.

I have told you before that in my view the greater interest of some of you is POWER and suppression of thoughts that challenge your preexisting positions rather than UNITY. I have seen nothing yet to have me to change this view.

Again please detail for me the Black Progressives or even "Non-Black-Neo-Cons" that you can ping against like you do all too frequently with so-called Black-Neo-Cons.

For such a small portion of the black community with no power you sure do expend a lot of ink on them.

Renaldo, you use to be a lot better at staying on topic, but most of what you have written in response to what we have written has been off topic and meant to have a arguement or discuss something you want to discuss.

"(Quick please list the Black Left Wing Progressives that you can think to criticism - Eric Michael Dyson?, Cornell West?, what about Russell Simmons or Puffy (clearly a capitalists)"

What does that have to do with what was written? Where are you trying to take this discussion? I got one for you Renaldo (quick please list al the colors of a rainbow?)Blue, Orange, Red?

Then you pick Cornell and Michael, two Black men that will crush any Negro-Con you bring to the table, but I digress. Clearly because you can not refute what has been written, you want to change the subject and try to discredit what was written by appearing to have facts about another topic. Uhh Ok.

Let's see here. The subject of Noah's article is "Black Conservatives".

I noted that he spares no occasion to throw a jab at a Black person who dares to disagree with him and has any hint of being to the "right" of where a certifed Black person should be on HIs continuum.

I brought up the examples of several noted Negro psuedo-intellectuals on the left as a contrast.

I note that all of them discuss imperialism, oil wars and poverty yet they miss the major contradiction that they ARE LIVING WITHIN THIS SAME SYSTEM THAT THEY ARE THEORIZING AGAINST.

(I will spare you the application of the "Consumer Capitalistic Co-Conspirator theory and how it fits again)

Wow, "Negro psedou Intellectuals."

If Cornell West and Michael Dyson are psedou intellectuals I am interested in knowing who you see as a real intellectual. Those who are real intellectual to you must be gods and have a depth of knowledge unattainable by mortals.

The C.C.C. is a dead and intellectually lazy theory based on the fact that if one is to be opposed to a phenomena, they can not live under that phenomena nor use anything attained by way of said phenomena existing. Thus anyone living in a corrupt nation but yet use resources attain by the governmentn of that corrupt nations made available by the government of that corrupt nation are co-conspirators in the corruption of the nation. They had better starve and go naked to escape being a Co-Conspirator. Surely this theory can be extrapolated out to cover all things, if a Black man work for the police force then he is a Co-Conspirator in beating and killing Black men just because he receives a paycheck from those who made the beating and killing of Black men possible. He had better quit his job before he is accused of being a C.C.

Well, first of all Renaldo, I am apolitical because I do not vote. Second, being apolitical does not mean that between the binary viable options, I do not believe both option are equivalent. Thus, I do believe that one is better than the other, in regards to issues concerning poor peoples, if not black peoples. Given that blacks are disproportionately poor and not disproportionately rich or wealthy, one party is a better option than the other, given that class is the major separator for white interest.

You will not find me critiquing black liberal leadership. The reason being is that they come with their own ideas and proposals, only to have them ignored or diluted by the white liberal base, so that they are palatable to a racist white supremacy nation. I have yet to hear of a proposal by Negro-cons, that is of their own creation. All the do is accept the white conservatives platform and parrot it as the solution to black problems. I believe that most white people believe in white supremacy, regardless of conservative or liberal. Thus, the big divide to me is in regards to race and not politics.

In truth, this ship of America is sinking. Neither party is addressing the loss of buoyancy. All they do is pander to what the people (white people) want to hear, in order that they can stay in a position of power or influence. The reason that the American ship is sinking is that the cost or opposite reaction to its actions are finally starting to catch up with the nation to balance the accounts. There are some serious structural loss of comparative advantage in the new global market place. There is a serious loss of social and cultural morality and ethics, born from free market capitalism and the fear of government regulation of the entertainment and other industries. There is an erosion of the family structure in the nation, with blacks foreshadowing what to come for all. This is a nation that puts money and profit above all, which leads to the exploitation of people needs, such as drugs for survival. There is a litany of problems in America that are the resultant of freedoms and capitalism and the only way that they could be changed is to erode freedom and capitalism, which is political suicide. An imbalance between individual freedom and collective good, will always force a correction.

What is true of the whole is not always true of the parts, Ambra, yet, it does not prevent the big picture from being true. There are many trees in the forest without leaves, but when one looks from high above at the forest, all which is visible is greenery. Thus, notwithstanding your rebuttal, I stand firm in my analysis.

I believe that this blog is predicated on the belief that there exists such a thing called “objective truth”. Thus, debate is about reconciling or discovering what the objective truth is and whose position is at or nearest to it from dissenting points of view. Our position is not one of splitting criticism equally between types of political ideology, but simply a mission of the discovery and presentation of the “objective truth” in regards to a phenomenon, problem or solution.

Often, a debate is not one of truth vs falsity, but rather, a debate between different degrees of truth. For example, many exceptions to the rule are truths, but they make up a smaller percentage of the total truth than does the general rule. Thus, the truer argument is the argument that encompasses not only truth, but the greater degree of truth.

If any time you feel so inclined to have an exploration towards discovery of objective truth, stop on by Amber. I can honestly say that none of my beliefs are written in stone and that I not only look forward to, but seek out dissenters who can logically repudiate them, by directing me to the greater truth

Thanks for stopping by to share your thoughts. You are always welcome.

Ambra, sorry for mistyping your name sister. Is it not true that if one sums up the totality of commentary from the Conservative Brotherhood, that the plurality of it is as I describe? You do not have to agree with me, in that I understand it would be a conflict of interest to do so. Many of TCB do not update their blogs often, while others seem to make it a full time job. Thus, those that make it a full time job have a higher volume inputs. Each member of TCB does not provide a proportional input of total input. The blogs with the higher volume of input or writing, thus sets the tone for the whole. Hence, if you want to be judged independently, then do not group yourselves together under this banner. The reason being it that my criticism is of the whole.

Anyway, one of the Brotherhood, Scott, has already agreed that much of what I said was true. Read his comments. Thus, I guess it your word against his, ignoring my own perceptions.
